Schamun is a sophomore setter from Murrieta, Calif. who in 2008 led Conference USA with an 11.58 assist average, which ranks 10th in the nation. Her 1,308 assists is tied for ninth-best in a season at Rice. Schamun's two-year assist total of 2,614 ranks ranks sixth all-time at Rice. Schamun was also selected to the 2008 All-Conference USA first team.
From Oakland, Calif, Bogan led the Owls with a .328 hitting percentage and ranked third on the team in kills with 311 and in kill average at 2.83. The junior middle blocker was also selected to the 2008 All-Conference USA first team.
A sophomore libéro, Lam led C-USA with a league-high 5.04 dig average. The San Francisco native had 569 digs in 2008, which ties the school season record (Yvette Kirk, 2006). Her two-year total of 1,068 digs is already tied for seventh-highest in school history.
