Rice Volleyball Match Notes in PDF Format 
For the second time in school history and the first time since 2004, the Rice Owls volleyball has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Volleyball Championship. Rice (23-7) will face Wichita State in Austin, Texas. Number three national seed Texas (25-3) will play Lamar (17-11).

The Shockers of Wichita State are 29-1 overall and were undefeated until the semi-finals of the Missouri Valley Conference championship when they lost 3-2 to Missouri State.
"This is something that we have always strived for and we knew that we had it in us," said Rice head coach Genny Volpe. "I am glad to see that Conference USA earned so much respect and it is a testament to the strength of C-USA volleyball. We will enjoy it tonight and get back to work on Monday."
In their last year as a member of the Western Athletic Conference in 2004, the Owls posted a 25-4 overall season record and earned the school's first-ever appearance in the NCAA championship. Rice was defeated by Michigan in Austin, Texas, 3-1.
The Lamar punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament when they won the Southland Conference Tournament with a 3-2 win over Texas State. Texas defeated Colorado 3-0 on Saturday for a share of the Big 12 Conference title.
Live stats and streaming video will be available for all three matches through www.texassports.com according to the NCAA's policy. The matches featuring Texas will also feature audio.

Tickets may be purchased at TexasBoxOffice.com; by calling 800-982-BEVO or 512-471-3333; in person at any Texas Box Office outlet, including Austin-area H-E-B stores and the UT Athletics Ticket Office in Bellmont Hall (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. CT); and in person one hour prior to game time at the Gregory Gymnasium box office.

Single day tickets won't be available until Friday, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. (Central). These tickets can be purchased either online, by phone or in person.

Tickets will only be available at will call for this event. Tickets can be picked up at Bellmont Hall beginning Tuesday, Dec. 2. They will be at Bellmont until one hour prior to the event start time. At that time, they will be available at will call at Gregory Gymnasium.
