Rice Owls R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Central
The Greater New Orleans Sports Association officially extended an invitation on Tuesday for Todd Graham's football team to represent Conference USA in the sixth annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, which will be played in the Louisiana Superdome on December 22.
The Owls, who won six in a row and seven of their last eight to earn their first bowl trip since the 1961 Bluebonnet Bowl, will meet the champion on the Sun Belt Conference in the game that will be televised by ESPN2. Troy University can clinch the berth opposite the Owls with a win over Florida International on Saturday night.
Tickets to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl are on sale now through the Rice University Ticket Office in one of three methods. Fans can purchase them online by clicking on the link at right, by calling 713-522-OWLS, or in person at the Ticket Office, which is open from 8:30-5:00, Monday through Friday.
