Sign To Speak At Bayou Bucket Luncheon

Houston - Matt Sign, a former all-Southwest Conference defensive lineman for Rice, will be the featured speaker at the annual Bayou Bucket luncheon at noon on Nov. 22 at the University of Houston's Hilton Hotel.
Sign is currently the chief operating officer for the National Football Foundation. He was a four-year letterman for the Owls in 1989-92, earning all-SWC honors at noseguard in 1991-92.
The Touchdown Club of Houston, which sponsors the annual Bayou Bucket luncheon, is the Houston chapter of the NFF.
Also speaking at the luncheon will be Rice head football coach Ken Hatfield, Rice athletic director Bobby May, UH head coach Art Briles, and Houston AD Dave Maggard.
Tickets are $40 each, and can be purchased by calling Tammi Warford at 713-348-6930, or e-mailing Tammi at twarford@rice.edu. Regular tables are $400 each. Premium tables are $500 (bronze sponsorship), $1,000 (silver sponsorship) and $1,500 (gold sponsorship). All tables are 10 seats each.

This year's Bayou Bucket game will be played Nov. 26 at Houston's Robertson Stadium. Rice is currently in possession of the traveling trophy after its 10-7 win over the Cougars in the 2004 game at Reliant Stadium.
