Houston - Tuesday's thunderstorms have jumbled the Rice practice schedule for the week. The squall line that went through the Houston area caused coach Ken Hatfield to cancel most of that day's workout.

"On Tuesday, we had a good, 45-minute film session, then the first part of a little team practice," said Hatfield. "We did a normal 'Tuesday' practice on Wednesday. We'll do a normal 'Wednesday' practice on Thursday, then Friday we'll do a normal 'Thursday' practice.

"All we did was move our 'Friday' practice, when we don't do very much, to Tuesday. We got a plus out of that."

"Saturday" will still be game day, when 10 Owl seniors play their final game at historic Rice Stadium. UCF, which can advance to the inaugural Conference USA championship game with a victory, will be the opponent for the 2 pm game.
