HOUSTON -- Rice's long layoff between games has given the Owls a chance to have most of their players back on the field when they host Hawaii Saturday at Rice Stadium (2:35 pm CDT).
Most, but not all.
Free safety Jason Hebert will start once again after missing the Fresno State game with a freak injury suffered at San Jose the previous week. "Hebert has been a real plus, no doubt," said head coach Ken Hatfield.
Also, Rice quarterbacks Corey Evans, Jeremy Hurd and Kyle Herm should be at full speed for the first time since the season opener vs. Houston.
On the down side, defensive end Jarrett Erwin (shoulder) and noseguard B.J. Forguson (knee) will both be out at least one more week.
