2013-2014: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Had her best year yet with four new personal bests that are all among the fastest marks in school history... Won C-USA individual championships in the 500-freestyle and the mile, and swam on the winning 800-free relay, to help the Owls claim the conference title for the third time in four years... Also finished fourth in the league in the 200-free for an individual total of 79 points in four C-USA events... Posted the second-fastest times in school history in three events - the 500 (an NCAA provisional 4:44.53), the 1,000 (9:52.35) and the mile (16:24.94)... Registered a 1:48.22 in the 200-free that is the fourth-best mark in school history... Member Rice[apos]s second-fastest 800-free relay... Swam the lead leg of the 800-relay that tallied the best mark by an Owl team at home in the Rice Competition Pool. 2012-2013: C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Recipient of the program[apos]s new Natalie Kirchhoff Inspiration Award (presented for a singular moment of inspiration during the season)... Won the Kirchhoff after coming back from an illness at the C-USA meet that required two IVs for dehydration. Not only did she return to the competition on the final day of the meet, she 1) won the rugged 1,650-freestyle with a 16:29.02 that is the second-fastest time in school history and then 2) finished fourth in the 200-butterfly with a 2:04.54 that is Rice[apos]s fifth-best-ever mark. The comeback performance inspired her Owl teammates to come from behind and win the conference team title... Finished third in the league in the 500-freestyle (4:49.54)... Best 500 of the season was a 4:49.32 in December at the Incarnate Word Invitational in San Antonio... Swam the third leg of the Owls[apos] school record-setting 800-free relay (7:11.57) that finished second in C-USA... Scored a total of 59.5 points at the conference, the fifth-highest on the team... Best 1,000-freestyle (10:02.01) was on the intermediate split of her C-USA mile, the third-best mark in school history... Steady performer who was named the C-USA Swimmer of the Week three times over the course of the season (Oct. 16, Dec. 4 and Jan. 29).
2011-2012: Swam in two events at the 2012 United States Olympic Trials... Registered a 2:16.94 in the morning preliminary round of the 200-meter butterfly (June 28) to finish 70th out 135 of the top women[apos]s swimmers in the country... Logged a 4:21.99 in the 400-meter freestyle prelims (June 26) to place 85th out of the top 113 entries (did not advance to the event finals of either event)... Shared the team[apos]s Rookie of the Year award (with Casey Clark) as the Owls[apos] top new swimmer; Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Posted some the fastest individual times in Rice history in six different events, including the 200-butterfly (2:00.90), 200-individual medley (2:02.61), 200-free (1:48..34), 500 (4:49.19), 1,000 (10:04.58) and the mile (16:40.79)... Won three individual silver medals in the 200-free, 500 and the mile, and swam on the Owls[apos] school-record-setting 800-free relay that won the silver medal at the C-USA Championships... Scored a total of 59.9 points at the conference meet, the second-highest total by any of the Rice freshmen... Part of a 1-2 Rice finish in the C-USA mile, where her 10:04.58 split at 1,000 yards was the fifth-best mark in school history... Best 200-fly was at the Last Chance meet in Rockwall, Tex... Tallied the fastest 500-free (4:58.93) and 200-fly (2:04.86) ever recorded by an Owl at home at the Rice Aquatics Center. High School - A 2011 graduate of Bowie High School in Austin... Multiple prep All-America and four-time state qualifier... Finished second in the state for the Bulldogs in both the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events... Coached by Aaron Vohl... Outstanding student... Member of the National Honor Society... National Spanish Honor Society.
Club - Qualified for the 2012, and participated in the 2008, U.S. Olympic Trials while competing for Longhorn Aquatics... Coached by Doug Rusk... USA Swimming Scholastic All-America.
