Graduated from McKinney Boyd HS (McKinney, Texas) where she competed for the Broncos under head coach Keith Pierce...her cross country team qualified for regionals all four years she competed...qualified individually for the 6A cross country state championships...held the school record in the 3200m, 4x800 relay, and DMR...placed third at Texas Relays with a time of 10:38 in the 3200m as senior...was the district champion in the 1600m with a mark of 4:56 and was the district champ in the 3200m...qualified for area in 1600m and 3200m and qualified for regionals in 3200m...graduated with a 4.0 GPA...was a two-time academic all-state first team honoree and two-time academic all-district honoree.
