He served as the tournament director for the annual USTA Futures event each fall in addition to the C-USA Championship events hosted at GRBTC.
Peters has been involved with tennis since his youth in northeast Tennessee where he played at the junior level. While in high school, he began his coaching career at local country clubs.
He attended the University of Tennessee after receiving a scholarship to serve as the manager for the Tennessee men's tennis team. The Volunteers finished the 2010 season ranked 2nd in the nation and won the SEC title.
Peters moved to Houston and began volunteering with the Rice tennis program in 2011 and directing the junior and adult programs at Rice University.
He is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional with expertise in junior development (10 & under tennis), collegiate coaching, Cardio Tennis certified instruction, and professional racquet stringing.
