AUSTIN – The Rice women's track and field team had several bright spots in a small team showing at the Texas Relays.
Saniya Friendly had the 28th fastest time in the nation with an 11.42s time in the 100m, the second-best mark in the American Conference.
Heidi Nielson had a great race in the 5000m, posting a time of 16:55.33 to finish fourth.
