HOUSTON — The Rice Men's Golf team is set to co-host it second tournament of the year, along with Houston, when it participates in the All-American Intercollegiate, Mar. 16-17. The tournament will be played at the par-72, 7,422-yard Golf Club of Houston in Humble. Rice will also have three individuals take part in an Individuals Tournament at the par-72, 7,508-yard Member Course.

TEAM FIELD

Rice is ranked No. 49 in the latest Scoreboard rankings. Joining the Owls in the 16-team field are No. 4 Arkansas, No. 61 Houston, and No. 79 Nebraska. Abilene Christian, Eastern Michigan, Houston Christian, Lamar, Louisiana-Monroe, North Texas, Odessa College, Sam Houston, Tarleton State, UT-Arlington, UTRGV, and Texas State are also participating.

Jaivir Pande – Individual … averaging 72.78 strokes per round … had the best finish of his career, tying for 10^th-place at the Colin Montgomerie HCU Invitational (3/2-3) … fired a career-best 65 in the second round, tying the second lowest round in school history … tied for 31^st-place at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic (9/29-30).

Davis Byrd – Individual … has a 73.47 stroke average … six rounds of par or better … has 44 birdies on the year … tied for 19^th-place at the Colin Montgomerie HCU Invitational (3/2-3) … tied for 23^rd-place at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic after opening with rounds of 72-71 (10/29-30) … tied for 32^nd-place at the Bentwater Intercollegiate (2/9-10) … tied for 41^st-place at the Argent Financial Classic, where he set career-lows for 36-hole score (145) and 54-hole score (216).

Braeden Hoyt – Individual … averaging 76.67 strokes … tied for 61^st-place at the Colin Montgomerie HCU Invitational (3/2-3) … tied for 70^th-place at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic (9/29-30).

PAIRINGS

The Owls will tee off at 8 a.m. CT from holes No. 1-4. Rice will compete in groups with student-athletes from Arkansas, Houston, and Nebraska. Tuesday's tee times and pairings will depend on results following the previous round. Rice will begin the individual tournament from holes 17-18 of the Member Course.
