COLLEGE STATION – Morgan Robson and Antonina Harned closed the 2026 season at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on Wednesday at the Rec Center Natatorium.
In the platform event, which featured a 32-diver field, the top 18 in the preliminary round advanced to finals, with the top 11 finishers earning a berth to the NCAA Championships.
In prelims, Robson placed 12th with a score of 231.50 to advance to finals. Harned finished 27th in prelims with a score of 200.85.
Robson went on to place 18th in finals with a total score of 430.55 and became the first Owl to advance to a finals round at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
"I'm super proud of the divers and what they have accomplished this year," diving coach Gabi Chereches said.
Rice welcomed two new divers this season in sophomore transfer Morgan Robson and junior transfer Antonina Harned, who joined returning senior Rylee Coyne. The Owls competed both at home and on the road against teams including Houston, Tulane, North Texas, Air Force and LSU.
"We were able to start training in our new dryland gym, which will play a critical role in our divers' training going forward," Chereches said.
"Winning the American Conference as a swimming and diving program for a second consecutive season is a great accomplishment and demonstrates the commitment and talent of our team. I am proud of our divers' work ethic and focus this season, and I look forward to continuing to build a solid diving program that complements a strong swimming team."
