Swim and Dive Announces 2026-27 Meet Schedule

HOUSTON – Rice swimming and diving head coach Seth Huston has announced the Owls' schedule for the 2026-27 season.
"We have built a schedule that we believe will be challenging for our program and ultimately prepare us to be at our best at the American Championships and postseason championships to follow," Huston said.
Fresh off back-to-back American Conference championships, Rice enters the upcoming season looking to build on its success.
Rice opens the campaign with two home meets in October, giving fans an early opportunity to see the defending conference champions at the Rice Competition Pool. The Owls start with the Rice Fall Splash on Oct. 9-10, welcoming UIW, Loyola New Orleans, St. Thomas and UTRGV for the season-opening meet. Rice remains at home later in the month to host Arkansas on Oct. 23-24.
Rice opens November with a trip across town to Houston on Nov. 6 before returning home to host American Conference foe Tulane on Nov. 7 for Senior Day, marking the Owls' final home competition of the 2026 calendar year.
The Owls then compete at the Phil Hansel Invitational, hosted by Houston, from Nov. 17-20 before traveling to Sarasota, Florida, to defend their title at the CSCAA Open Water Championship on Dec. 12. Rice has won the event three consecutive years and will look to capture its fourth straight CSCAA Open Water championship.
Rice closes the 2026 portion of its schedule at the FAU Fun Meet in Boca Raton, Florida, on Dec. 19.
The Owls open the new year by hosting the Rice Double Up Meet on Jan. 8, their final home competition of the season. Rice then travels to Denton to face North Texas on Jan. 21 before heading to Little Rock, Arkansas, for a pair of meets. The Owls face Little Rock in a dual meet on Jan. 22 before taking on Little Rock and Arkansas on Jan. 23.
Rice wraps up January against Houston at the CRWC Natatorium on Jan. 30 before closing the regular season at the First Chance Meet, hosted by Houston, on Feb. 5-6.
The postseason begins with the American Conference Championships, where the Owls will look to capture their third consecutive conference title. The championship meet is scheduled for Feb. 17-20 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Rice then competes at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships from March 11-13 at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST) facility in Ocala, Florida.
The season concludes at the NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Texas at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas, from March 17-20.
