Cole Named CSC Academic All-American

HOUSTON – Reese Cole was named to the College Sports Communicators Third Team Academic All-America team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Cole is the first Rice women's swimming and diving athlete to earn Academic All-America honors since the 1980s, capping a standout season in and out of the pool.
A native of League City, Texas, Cole won American Conference titles in the 200- and 400-yard individual medley and competed in the 400 IM at the NCAA Championships. She carries a 4.00 grade-point average while double majoring in sports medicine and exercise physiology and neuroscience.
The Owls closed the season as repeat American Conference champions and sent two athletes to the NCAA Championships in Athens, Georgia.
