Flores Named American Player of the Week

IRVING – Following a career weekend, Rice junior guard Victoria Flores was named the American Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Flores led the Owls with a career-high 33 points, on 8-of-10 shooting, featuring four three-pointers, while also adding five rebounds, an assist and a block at UTSA. She also finished with 13 points, a rebound, assist and steal against Temple.
On the week, Flores averaged 23 points, three rebounds and an assist per game. Her 33-point performance is the most scored since Destiny Jackson against Houston during the 2022-23 season.
Rice (19-3, 9-0 American) eyes a 15th consecutive win Saturday afternoon at Memphis.
