HOUSTON – The Rice men's tennis team will compete at the Battle in the Boro in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, from Feb. 20–22.
The Owls are set to face Old Dominion, Utah and host Middle Tennessee during the three-day event.
Rice leads the all-time series against Old Dominion, 4-3, with the most recent meeting ending in a 4-3 Owl victory. The Owls have faced Utah once in program history, earning a 4-2 win in April 1998.
Middle Tennessee leads the all-time series against Rice, 10-5. The Owls fell 4-0 in the most recent matchup at the 2024 Blue Gray Classic.
Rice enters the weekend ranked No. 62 in the latest ITA team rankings. The doubles team of Petro Kuzmenok and Santiago Navarro is ranked No. 83 nationally.
