Watson Ties for Fourth at Bentwater Intercollegiate

Montgomery, Texas — Freshman Raines Watson had the best finish of his young career, tying for fourth-place at the Bentwater Intercollegiate, played at Bentwater Country Club in Montgomery.
Entering the day in eighth-place, Watson fired his second straight one-under par 70 to finish even par for the tournament.
It's his first career top five finish, and the 70 is his eighth round of par or better this year.
Senior Henry Daly tied for 22nd-place at +5 after closing with his second straight 72, and redshirt junior Davis Byrd posted a 76 to tie for 32nd-place at +8.
VCU's Tanner Cadieux earned medalist honors at -7, two strokes in front of Central Arkansas' Bogdan Sandrini.

Rice begins the team portion of its schedule Feb. 16-17, when it travels to Mobile, Ala., for the Hal Williams Collegiate.
