HOPEWELL – Shelley Pennington and Friends Head Coach Lindsay Edmonds was honored as one of the 20 head coaches named to the 2026-27 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award preseason watch list presented by Her Hoop Stats, the organization announced Thursday morning.
The reigning American Conference Coach of the Year, Edmonds' Owls are coming off of one of the greatest seasons in program history, capturing a program-record 29 wins with a record 22-game win streak. Rice was crowned the regular season champions of the American Conference, only the fifth regular season title in program history.
In addition to conference coach of the year honors, Edmonds was named one of eight finalists for the WBCA National Coach of the Year.
