Rice Fall Invitational
Anushka Ashar and Daniela Chica won their respective singles flights in singles to close out action at the Rice Fall Invitational at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Sunday.
Darya Schwartzman and Uma Bakaityte dropped singles matches on Sunday at the ITA Women's All-American on Sunday to wrap up their singles schedule and will now turn their attention to their opening round match in the doubles main draw on Wednesday.
Ashar raced to a 6-2, 6-2 win over Caroline McGinley of SMU in the finals of Flight 3, while Chica defeated Sam Houston's Jacqueline Schnabel 7-6 (0), 6-3 to take the Flight 5 title.
