Moves to qualifying singles round
Petro Kuzmenok won a pair of three-set matches to advance to the qualifying round of singles to highlight action for Rice at the ITA Men's All-American at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Sunday..
Kuzmenok dispatched Oklahoma's Hank Trondson and North Carolina State's Jules Leroux on Sunday and has won his first six singles matches this fall. He will face Ohio State's Preston Stearns on Monday.
Despite dropping a 6-2, 7-5 decision on Sunday, Kabeer Kapasi and Yair Sarouk advanced to the qualifying round of doubles after the withdrawal of another doubles team. They will face Martin Borisiouk and Jules Leroux of NC State.
