Megan Phillip Concludes Diving Season at NCAA Zones

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Rice graduate diver Megan Phillip finished the diving portion of the season on Tuesday afternoon with the women's one meter diving events in the NCAA Zone D Diving Championship at the University of Iowa Aquatics Center.
"Today, Megan ended her diving career and I'm super proud of her," said diving coach Gabi Chereches. "She had a great season!"
In preliminary action for the one meter dive, Phillip finished in 20th of the 54-person field, finishing with a score of 270.25, a top-five result for her this season. Phillip just barely missed the cut to move on to finals, as the top 18 competitors move on to finals in diving zones. Phillip finished ahead of several divers from Power Four institutions, such as Missouri, Iowa, LSU, Minnesota, Kansas, Arkansas, and more.
Rice diving will return to action during the 2025-26 season, while Rice swimming will begin its postseason on Thursday, March 13, with the CSCAA National Invitational Championship. More information on the event will be released tomorrow.
