Boandl Earns Top 15 Finish at Louisiana Classics

Lafayette, La. — Junior men's golfer Lukas Boandl fired a final round 71 to tie for 14th-place at the Louisiana Classics, played at Oakbourne Country Club.
Boandl finished -1 for the tournament. The 71 is his 19th round of par or better this year and the 35th of his career. His 19 rounds of par or better are tied for the third-most in a season in school history.
Senior Raghav Chugh carded a 73 to tie for 24th-place at +2. Freshman Daniel Zou tied for 40th-place at +7 after posting a 76. Sophomore Reggie Zhu shot a 77 to finish +9 in a 49th-place tie.
Sophomore Braeden Hoyt finished in 69th-place and freshman William Johnson closed in 75th-place. Hoyt posted an 80 to finish +16, and Johnson closed at +21 after posting a 76.
Rice finished in ninth-place at +16 after carding a final round 297.
No. 7 LSU won the team title at -19, two strokes in front of No. 24 Texas A&M. Louisiana's Malan Potgieter and LSU's Alfons Bondesson tied for medalist honors at -9.
