Post Meet Reaction - Head Coach Jim Bevan
"Almost everyone competing exceeded their seeded marks, which is amazing to see. We did much better scoring wise than expected. I thought we did very well, especially since this is a young team. A lot of our scoring came from freshmen and sophomores. We competed well and with a lot of spirit. The conference got better this year and we need to work to keep up. We are built for outdoors so I'm very happy and proud with how we competed. The highlight has to be the DMR team winning Friday night. All of them ran great legs throughout to claim the title. Saniya was unbelievable, finishing second in the 60m, the highest in about 14 years for us, which is now expected since she's the school record holder. Oliwia was tremendous with PBs in the mile and 3k, and also running in the DMR. Alice had a great clearance today to reach the podium. Daphne has improved a whole minute in the 3000m since high school. Niamh Collins was seeded 10th in the 800m and finished fourth, and Oliwia was also seeded around 10th in the mile and finished fourth. Johanna also with a great race, seeded 15th in the 800m and scores at seventh. This was her first year running indoor 800m. Also Morgan Fey, one of our few seniors, had a great showing and matched a personal best in the shot put. Overall, I am happy with the results and look to build on this towards outdoors."
