Montgomery, Texas — A trio of Rice Golf individuals closed play at the Bentwater Intercollegiate, played at Bentwater Country Club in Montgomery.
Redshirt sophomore Davis Byrd, freshman William Johnson, and senior Raghav Chugh all tied for 35th-place at +8.
Byrd led the Owls in the final round with a season-low two-over 73. His 54-hole score of 221 was a career-best. Johnson carded a 75, while Chugh posted a 79.
Chattanooga's Ethan Whitaker and Braedon Wear were co-medalists at -5.

The Owls begin their team competition next Monday, Feb. 17-18, when they travel to Laredo for the Border Olympics.
