HOUSTON – The Rice men's tennis team will kick off the ITA Texas Regional on Friday in College Station.
To open the tournament, Noey Do, Joshua Mandelbaum and Yair Sarouk will compete in the qualifying singles draw. Do and Mandelbaum are scheduled to play at 9 a.m., while Sarouk received a bye and will begin play at noon.
Petro Kuzmenok, Santiago Navarro, Tommy Czaplinski, Gabriel Porras and Kabeer Kapasi will open play in the singles main draw on Saturday. Match times and opponents have not yet been determined.
In doubles, the teams of Kuzmenok/Navarro, Kapasi/Sarouk, Czaplinski/Mandelbaum and Porras/Do will compete, with matchups and times still to be announced.
