Swim Begins Double Feature at Houston and Texas

HOUSTON - The Rice Owls swim team will feature in two meets over the next few days, taking part in a dual meet at Houston on Friday, January 31, before heading to Austin to take part in The Sterkel Classic at the University of Texas on Saturday, February 1.
Rice will head to University of Houston for the second-to-last time this season on Friday to take part in a dual meet against the Cougars. The Owls began the season at the Houston Diving Invitational, then took second place in the Phill Hansel Invitational in November.
Afterwards, the Owls will head to the state capital to take part in The Sterkel Classic along with SMU and TCU. Live results will be available for The Sterkel Classic, but live video will not be available.
Recently, the Owls met with St. Thomas to take aprt in time trails, where Rice came away with several victories in the mixed events, headlined by Reese Cole's three victories in said events.
Rice will close out the regular season on February 8 at Houston in the UH First Chance Meet.
