Swim and Dive Wraps Up Home Slate Against St. Thomas

HOUSTON - The Rice swimming and diving teams will host its final home meet of the 2024-25 season, hosting cross-town opponent St. Thomas at the Rice University Aquatics Center at 4 p.m. on Friday, January 24.
Rice returns to action for the first time since early January, where both teams took part in a meet in Tempe, Arizona, against the Sun Devils of Arizona State. Dive had a strong outing that day, with graduate student Megan Phillip earning Rice's only top finish of the day with a score of 254.78 in the one-meter dive. Other Owls with podium finishes that day include Ella Dyson (2nd, 1000 Yard Free), Ava Portello (2nd, 200 Yard Free), and Arielle Hayon (3rd, 200 Yard Fly).
The meet will be an unscored meet with a focus on time trials leading into the final meets of the 2024-25 season.
In last season's time trails, Rice was able to claim top finishes in 15 of the 18 events. In last season's meet, Ava Hamblett and Hayon both won three meets to lead the way for the Owls.
