Owls and Roadrunners Set for 6 pm Kickoff

Rice's home game with UTSA on Saturday, October 12 will kick off at 6 p.m. (central) with coverage on ESPN+. The AAC and ESPN jointly announced the time of the game and broadcast partner assignment on Monday.
This will be the 12th meeting between the schools in the last 13 years between the schools, with the only interruption in the series coming in 2020 when the game was canceled due to the pandemic. It will be the fifth consecutive meeting, which matches series with Houston and Charlotte as the longest active series streaks for the Owls.
The game has been designated as "Go Owls Day" and celebrate the Texas roots for both schools with a pregame concert by the Will Carter Band in Tailgate Owley.
