Hunter-Galvan, Taylor Sisters Highlight Rice’s Weekend at Texas Relays

AUSTIN – The Rice women's track and field team had several top showings at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The Owls only took a handful of athletes to the meet, but will have a full showing next weekend at Texas A&M.
Taigen Hunter-Galvan had a great showing on the track, finishing fourth in the 800m. Her time of 2:05.96 currently ranks first in the AAC, eighth in the NCAA West and 18th in the NCAA.
Over at the high jump, Alice Taylor and Josie Taylor tied for fifth with a clearance of 1.74m. The mark for Josie moves her into sole possession of second in the AAC, while Alice still holds the top spot in the AAC after last week's clearance of 1.83m.
