Owls Open Outdoor Campaign at UTSA

SAN ANTONIO – The Rice women's track and field team opened their outdoor season this weekend at the UTSA Invitational. The Owls had 14 top-10 finishers across the two-day meet.
Morgan Fey had a strong showing, finishing third in discus and tenth in the shot put. Josie Taylor continued where she left off durng indoors, finishing third in the high jump. Elena Schwegman had a solid performance in javelin, ending the meet fifth.
Over on the track, Kennedy Gamble finished second in the 100-meter dash, while Rice's 4x400 team took third.
