Kirchdorfer Leads Golf at Louisiana Classiscs

Lafayette, La. — Fifth-year senior Jay Kirchdorfer is tied for 14th-place to lead the Rice Golf team at the Louisiana Classics.
Kirchdorfer sits at -2. He began the day firing a two-under par 70 before carding an even par 72. The two rounds of par or better give him a team-high 10 on the year and 30 in his career.
Junior Raghav Chugh is tied for 28th-place at +1. He opened the day with a 74 but bounced back with a one-under 71, his seventh round of par or better this year and the 34th of his career.
Sophomore Lukas Boandl posted back-to-back 75's to sit at +6, in a 66th-place tie. Freshman Reggie Zhu is tied for 73rd-place at +8 after rounds of 73-79, and senior Blake Benson is tied for 80th-place at +11 after rounds of 79-76.
The Rice Golf team carded a +14 298 to sit in 14th-place after one round of the Cabo Collegiate.
No. 28 Texas A&M leads team tournament at -18, seven strokes in front of No. 29 LSU. Texas A&M's Phichaksn Maichon leads the individual tournament at -11, one stroke in front of Hunter Thomson of Michigan.
