De la Bassetiere, Kapasi Advance in ITA Sectionals

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Rice tandem of Arthus de la Bassetiere and Kabeer Kapasi defeated Louis Bowden and Quintan Van Wijk from Baylor, 7-5, 6-2, to move on to the men's doubles quarterfinals in the ITA Sectionals Championships, hosted by TCU.
The tandem are the only Owls competing in sectionals this season, and are looking to earn a berth to the NCAA Individual Championships later this month. In order to do so, the two must finish third place or better in the Sectionals.
The duo are back in action Friday at 9:30 a.m., where they will take on Asahi Harazaki and Luis Carlos Alvarez Valdes from Oklahoma.
