Men's Tennis Concludes Time at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - Members of the Rice Owls men's tennis team concluded competition in the Princeton Invitational on Sunday by earning two doubles victories.
The tandem of Yair Sarouk and Eduardo Morais were the first pair of Owls to earn a victory, taking down the duo of Landon Ardila and Meecah Bigun from the host institution by a final score of 8-4. Following that, Petro Kuzmenok and Joshua Mandelbaum earned a tight 8-7 victory over the duo of Evan Wen and Aleksander Mitric to earn Rice's second victory of the day.
In the other doubles matches, Santiago Navarro and Arthus de la Bassetiere fell to Fnu Nidunjianzon and Ellis Short in a close 8-7 match, while Emir Sendogan and Gabriel Porras fell to Filippos Astreinidis and Matthew Bosancic by a final score of 8-3.
In singles, Princeton was able to sweep all seven matches against the Owls, with Navarro and Porras both taking their opponents to three sets, with Milan Markovits defeating Navarro 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 and Porras falling to Aidan Mahoney 6-4, 5-7, 11-9, battling in the final set.
Men's tennis will return to action this coming weekend with the ITA Regionals hosted in Fort Worth, Texas.
