Li Leads Owls on Final Round of HCU Husky Intercollegiate

Sugar Land, Texas — Graduate student Nicholas Li posted a 72 to lead a trio of Rice Golf individuals during the final round of the HCU Husky Intercollegiate, played at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land.
Li finished +9 in a tie for 33rd-place. The 72 is his first round of par or better this year and the sixth of his career.
Freshman William Johnson tied for 13th-place at +4 after closing with a 77. It is his first career top 20 finish.
Sophomore Braeden Hoyt carded his third straight 76 to tie for 41st-place at +12.
Southeastern Louisiana's Viggo Hed earned medalist honors at -5, two strokes in front of DePaul's Pablo Riveiro and Rohan Gopaldas.

The Owls will have the winter off before returning in the spring season at the Bentwater Intercollegiate, Feb. 10-11.
