Golf Earns GCAA President’s Special Recognition Award

HOUSTON — The Rice golf team earned President's Special Recognition Team honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America, the organization announced.
A total of 54 Division I teams received President's Special Recognition status for having team GPAs of 3.5 or better.
In addition to earning the honor, Rice placed nine golfers on the Commissioner's Honor Roll this spring, with Blake Benson, Thomas Bockholt III and Jay Kirchdorfer claiming C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medals. Yesterday, Benson, Kirchdorfer, Raghav Chugh and Forrest Park were named GCAA All-American Scholars.
Sacred Heart was named the Academic National Champion.
