Women’s T&F Opens Outdoor Season at UH

HOUSTON – The Rice Owls women's track & field team opens the 2023 outdoor season Thursday at the University of Houston for the Kirk Baptiste Spring Break Invite.
In total, the Owls will have 20 athletes competing in eight events. Schools aside from Rice and Houston competing are Harvard, Houston Christian, Prairie View, Sam Houston, along with several unattached competitors.
The Owls are coming off a successful indoor season, with the Owls taking second at the C-USA Championships, while sending two athletes, Erna Gunnarsdottir (shot put) and Tara Simpson-Sullivan (weight throw), to the NCAA Championships.
