Owls Host Islanders

Combined match with the Rice women's team
Houston: The Rice men's tennis team, winners of their last five matches, will join with the Rice women's team to host Texas A&M Corpus Christi in a combined dual at the George R. Brown Tennis Center at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The combined match was originally scheduled for February 22 but was rescheduled due to weather concerns. The men will play on the back courts at GRBTC and the women the front six courts.

The Islanders: Texas A&M Corpus Christi is 9-5 this year and is coming off a 4-3 road loss at Illinois-Chicago last Friday.
The Series: This is the 15th consecutive meeting between the schools and the 16th all-time. Rice has won each of the previous 15.
GRBTC: Rice is 76-35 in dual action since moving into their current home in the fall of 2014. They are 9-7 in C-USA play and 6-12 all-time against ranked opponents.
Doubling Up: Saturday's combined match is the second of four this season that are combined women's tennis dual. On March 26 the men will face William & Mary while the women host Brown at 11 a.m. and the slate of combined matches end on April 8 when the men host UTSA while the women take on SMU.
Notable:
• Rice is 11-4 in doubles this season and has a combined record of 25-12 so far this year. The Owls are 7-4 when winning the point, 1-3 when dropping the first point.
