Post Meet Reaction - Head Coach Jim Bevan
"So proud of Erna! She has come along way since she arrived at South Main in 2018. She was a 47'8" (14.54 meters) shot putter and has improved by leaps and bounds over the last five years! She is a clutch competitor and has been dominant for us at the conference level, winning numerous championships. Tara competed exceptionally well, being seeded 16th and coming out 14th. This is her fourth All-American performance and second outdoors (one first team and one second team).
Rice will be back in action Thursday for the outdoor season opener at the Kirk Baptiste Spring Break Invite at the University of Houston.
