Women’s Basketball Against USF to be Nationally Televised; AAC Announces Game Times

IRVING – The American Athletic Conference has announced the broadcast schedule and game times for Rice women's basketball Wednesday afternoon. This year marks Rice's inaugural season in the AAC.
The Owls will make an appearance on the national stage when Rice hosts South Florida on Jan. 14, 2024, at 12 p.m. on ESPNU. The rest of the AAC schedule for Rice will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
Rice's home AAC schedule will have games set for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off during the weekdays and have a 2:00 p.m. tip-off on the weekends. The only two home AAC games with different times will be the South Florida game at 12 p.m. and Rice's game on Feb. 10 against Tulsa at 5:30 p.m. due to the game being part of a doubleheader with men's basketball.
Rice's game at home against Memphis (1-27) does not have a time due to the game being part of another doubleheader with men's basketball.

Rice will host Angelo State on Nov. 1, for an exhibition before opening the season against Houston Christian at Tudor Fieldhouse on Nov. 6.

Last season the Owls saw the best start in program history (9-0) which featured back-to-back-to-back wins at Texas A&M, vs. TCU and vs. Houston (2OT). The Owls (23-9) went on to earn a bid to the WNIT, where they defeated BYU on the road in the opening round before falling to Oregon in the second round.
Rice returns multiple key players from last season including 2023 C-USA Second Team selection Malia Fisher while Destiny Jackson also returns for a fifth season with the Owls.
