Lukas Boandl Leads Owls on Final Day of Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational

Erie, Colo. — Sophomore Lukas Boandl carded an even par 72 to lead the Rice Golf team during the final round of the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.
 
It was Boandl's fourth round of par or better this year and the 13th of his career. He finished five-over par in a tie for 52nd-place.
 
Graduate student Jay Kirchdorfer tied for 48th-place at four-over par after carding a 77. Freshman Reggie Zhu posted a 76 to tie for 61st-place at eight-over par. Junior Raghav Chugh finished 11-over par, tied for 73rd-place after posting a 79 and senior Blake Benson shot a 74 to finish 14-over par in an 82nd-place tie.
 
The Owls finished 22-over par in 15th-place. San Francisco won the tournament at 19-under par, two strokes in front of Colorado. Mercer's Tobias Jonsson finished nine-under par to take home medalist honors, two strokes in front of Colorado's Justin Biwer.
