Grear, Kapasi and Sendogan in action for Rice
In Brief: Trinity Grear picked up a win in singles and split a pair of doubles matches to lead Rice on the first day of UTSA's Jauer Roadrunner Invitational in San Antonio on Friday.
The Details: Grear, Emir Sendogan and freshman Kabeer Kapasi represented the Owls in the season's first action and Grear raced to a 6-2, 6-0 win over Abilene Christian's Dario Kmet in the opening round of B Flight singles. He teamed with Kapasi to defeat Baylor's Marko Miladinović and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi, 6-1 in the first round of A Flight doubles.
