Kirchdorfer Set for 122nd U.S. Amateur

HOUSTON, Texas —Graduate golfer Jay Kirchdorfer will begin play at the prestigious 122nd U.S. Amateur on Monday when he tees off at Arcola Country Club in Paramus, N.J.
Kirchdorfer is making his first appearance at the U.S. Amateur. He will tee off at 1:21 p.m. CT from Hole 1. For Tuesday's second round, he will tee off at 8:06 a.m. CT from Hole 9 at Ridgewood Country Club.
All 312 golfers in the field will play two rounds of stroke play on Monday and Tuesday. The top 64 after those two rounds will then advance to match play, which begins on Wednesday. Match play will continue until next Sunday when a champion will be crowned.
The champion also earns an exemption into the 2023 U.S. Open at The Los Angeles Country Club, along with a spot in The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool and a likely invitation to the Masters in April.
Kirchdorfer will be paired with Denny Bull of Norwalk, Iowa, and Evan Vo, a sophomore at Auburn.
Peacock and the Golf Channel will have coverage of the event, beginning on Wednesday when Match Play begins.
