In Brief: Rice returns to the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Sunday for the first of three consecutive home duals they host Texas A&M Corpus Christi at 11 a.m. The Owls join with a number of other college tennis programs in hosting Team Luke Hope for Minds Day.
The Matchup: The Islanders are 10-6 on the season after dropping a 4-2 decision at UTA on Friday. This is the 14th consecutive year the schools have met in a dual, all in Houston. The Owls have won all 14 matches between the two, posting 6-0 mark at Jake Hess, a 5-0 record at GRBTC and a 2-0 record at the Boniuk Family Tennis Center in 2019 and 2020 after weather forced the match indoors.
Team Luke: In honor of National Brain Injury Awareness Month Rice is hosting Team Luke Hope for Minds Day today. The late Luke Siegel was the son of former Texas Tech head tennis coach Tim Siegel and suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2015. Coach Siegel created the Team Luke Hope for Minds Foundation to enrich the lives of children with a brain injury and give hope to their families through support and education.

- Rice is 6-1 when clinching the doubles point and 1-5 when dropping it. The win over ACU on 2/13 after dropping the doubles point broke a 23-match streak where the Owls could not overcome the loss in doubles.
