Rice and UConn to Meet in 2023

Home and home series that concludes in 2028
Rice and UConn jointly announced on Friday the schools will meet for the first time in football in 2023 when the Owls host the Huskies at Rice Stadium on October 7, 2023, as part of a home-and-home series. UConn will host the Owls on October 7, 2028.
The meeting between the two schools will give Rice three non-conference home games in 2023 and replaces a road game with BYU originally scheduled for September 29. The Owls open their 2023 non-conference slate at Texas on September 2.
Rice opens spring practice on March 8 and will conclude drills with the annual Blue-Gray Spring Game on April 16.
Current football season ticket members who renew their seats in 2022 will be greeted by prices locked in at 2021 rates. Season ticket members will soon receive an email with further information on the renewal process. Those interested in new season tickets should fill out the season ticket request form.
