Chugh Ties for Sixth at Craft Farms Intercollegiate

Gulf Shores, Ala. — Raghav Chugh continued his strong freshman campaign, tying for sixth-place at the Craft Farms Intercollegiate.
Chugh shot a final round 75. It is his team-leading fourth top-10 finish of the year, the most in a season since Jake Benson had four during the 2018-19 season.
Benson carded a 76 to finish two-over par in a tie for 17th-place. It is his second top-20 finish of the year and the 16th of his career.
Harrison Hineline had the best round of the day for the Owls, firing a three-under par 69 to finish in a tie for 24th-place at three-over par. Hineline was one-over through the first seven holes. However, he birdied three of the next five holes. After he gave one back with a bogey on 15, he closed his round with back-to-back birdies. It was his third round of the year in the 60's and seventh of his career.
Juniors Thomas Bockholt III and Forrest Park also tied for 24th-place. Bockholt carded an even par 72, his fourth round of par or better this year and the ninth of his career, and Park posted a 74. The 24th-place finish were season-bests for both Bockholt and Park.
Senior Campbell Gibson carded an 83 to finish in 74th-place at 24-over par.
As a team, the Owls finished in sixth-place at six-over par after carding a final round 292.
South Alabama won the team competition at 22-under par, 23 strokes in front of second-place Southern Illinois and Georgia State. USA's Jack Hearn earned medalist honors at 13-under par, four stroke in front of Southern Illinois' Matthis Besard.

Rice will take two weeks off before returning to the links when it co-hosts the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, Apr. 11-12, at Walden at Lake Conroe in Conroe.
