Rice Closes Rain and Wind Filled Day at All-American Intercollegiate

HUMBLE — Dealing with wind and rain for the majority of the day, the Rice Golf team is in 13th-place after two rounds of the All-American Intercollegiate.
Freshman Raghav Chugh is tied for 18th-place at three-over par after carding rounds of 73-74.
Senior Harrison Hineline is tied for 49th-place at eight-over par. He opened the day with an 80 before bouncing back with an even par 72. The 72 is his sixth round of par or better this year and the 18th of his career.
Senior Jake Benson posted a 79-75 to sit in a tie for 56th-place at 10-over par. Senior Jack Diamond is tied for 72nd-place at 13-over par after rounds of 78-79 and sophomore Rodrigo Martin is 25-over par, tied for 99th-place after rounds of 85-84.
Playing as individuals, junior Forrest Park and senior Austin Escamilla are tied for 79th and 82nd-place, respectively. Park is 14-over par after shooting 82-76 and Escamilla finished 80-79, 15-over par.
Redshirt freshman Blake Benson is tied for 92nd-place at 19-over par after posting rounds of 78-85. Senior Campbell Gibson is 21-over par in 94th-place after shooting 81-84 and Junior Thomas Bockholt III is tied for 95th-place at 22-over par after carding rounds of 80-86.
No. 33 Florida State leads the team competition at seven-under par, 17 strokes in front of Houston. FSU's Frederik Kjettrup and Bret Gray of Sam Houston are tied for the individual lead at three-under par, one stroke in front of Mississippi State's Ruan Pretorius and Cole Anderson of Florida State.
