Rice Duo in Top 15 after First Round of Craft Farms Intercollegiate

Gulf Shores, Ala. — Freshman Raghav Chugh and junior Forrest Park are in the top 15 after one round of the Craft Farms Intercollegiate.
Chugh is tied for fifth-place after carding a two-under par 70, his team-leading 10th round of par or better this year. Park, playing as an individual, carded an even par 72 to sit in a tie for 14th-place. It is his second round of par or better this year.
Seniors Harrison Hineline and Jake Benson both posted 73's to sit in a tie for 21st-place at one-over par. Junior Thomas Bockholt III and senior Campbell Gibson are tied for 42nd-place at three-over par after carding 75's.
The Rice golf team is in sixth-place after posting a three-over par 291, two strokes behind Eastern Michigan and Southern Illinois for fourth-place.
South Alabama leads the team competition at 11-under par, nine strokes in front of second-place Oral Roberts. USA's Jack Hearn and Southern Illinois' Matthis Besard are tied for the individual lead at five-under par, one stroke in front of South Alabama's Mathias Lorentzen.

The second round begins tomorrow at 7:45 a.m. CT. Rice begins play at 8:15 a.m. and is paired with Eastern Michigan and Southern Illinois.
