Face No. 7 Texas A&M on Sunday
In Brief: Despite being forced inside by chilly temperatures, the Rice women's tennis team stayed red hot on Friday, downing UTSA 5-0 for their fifth straight win. The match was played indoors at the Boniuk Family Tennis Center.
Doubles: The Owls captured the doubles point for the fifth consecutive match by dropping only four games between the first and third lines.
Singles: UTSA fell behind 2-0 at the start of doubles due only having five players available. Allison Zipoli won her seventh consecutive singles match to make it 3-0 while Maria Budin and Saara Orav followed with clinches at the fourth and fifth lines to round out the scoring.
Up Next: The Owls will travel to College Station on Sunday to take on No. 7 Texas A&M at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
