
Owls Wrap Fall Invitational By Winning Five of Six

El Jardi Named Singles Champion
In Brief: Diae El Jardi closed out an undefeated weekend with a straight-set win on Saturday to be named the singles champion of the 2022 Rice Fall Invitational at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Saturday. Sarina Reinertsen and Liz Chileno of UTA were named doubles champions.
The Details: El Jardi won all three of her weekend matches in straight sets, completing the weekend sweep with a 6-1, 7-6 win over Tina Li of BYU. Teammates Maria Budin, Saara Orav and Federica Trevisan also close the weekend undefeated as the Owls won 14 of 18 singles matches over the three days of competition against BYU, Houston and UTA.
