Two matches in Baton Rouge on Sunday
In Brief: The Rice men's tennis team (1-2) will join with the women's team in taking on LSU at the LSU Tennis Complex at noon on Sunday and follow that with a 4 p.m. dual with New Orleans at the same complex.

LSU: The Tigers are 4-0 this season, the last win a 5-2 decision over UTSA who defeated the Owls by the same score in San Antonio on January 14. This is third meeting between the two at the Tigers current complex, which opened in 2015 and the Tigers have won two of three. The schools have split the last six dual meetings, but the Tigers have won the last two. This is the third consecutive meeting between the schools as a combine dual with the women's teams.
New Orleans: This will be the Privateers 2021 dual debut. They were 6-2 when the 2020 season was cut short, including a 5-2 win over Southern Miss of Conference USA. This is the first meeting between the schools since 2016, a 4-0 Owls win and Rice holds a 6-0 lead in the season series.

Next Up: The Owls travel to Tennessee next weekend for matches against Middle Tennessee on February 5, Tennessee State on February 6 and Vanderbilt on February 7. next Sunday to take on defending national champion Texas at 3:30 p.m. They return home to host #12 TCU at noon on Wednesday, March 11.
